FEMA's Zombie Apocalypse: The Sinister Truth

For those of you who think that FEMA's zombie apocalypse is merely in anticipation for America's hurricane season, it might be worth a harder look at the campaign itself and what it could really mean for everyone.

To put things in perspective, the whole campaign needs to be put on it's head and we have to ask ourselves a few important questions. If governments and world leaders alike were presented with enough scientific evidence to strongly suggest a pending catastrophic event and wanted the general public to be prepared for such an event without causing a panic, how would they do it?

Presenting the American people with a humorous apocalyptic-like scenario based on an influential pop-culture might just be one of the most cunning ways to prepare the public for something that they must at the same time, know nothing about.

The government clearly has an agenda for keeping us all out of the loop and on a "need to know" basis considering the obvious economic and social impacts of announcing an apocalyptic event on national television, but what is the true purpose of this campaign and most importantly, why now?

It seems rather disproportional to suggest that the whole idea was devised to prepare people who live in areas that are likely to suffer from severe environmental conditions such as hurricanes and floods. There is definitely something about this campaign that implies a larger target audience which has our sources quite concerned particularly towards the end of this year.

Despite the popular assumptions of the Mayan doomsday scenario set for the 21st of December, World Trends Journal prefers a slightly more realistic approach to what is more likely to happen towards the end of this year and the beginning of 2013. We have managed to gather two scenarios that many of our sources have in common.

The first scenario is a global economic collapse. Certainly doesn't carry the magnitude of a natural disaster, but it is something that would affect everyone on a global scale and tear the social fabric of the world as we know it.

The second scenario is a Coronal Mass Ejection or more commonly referred to as a Solar Flare or CME colliding with the Earth's atmosphere causing wide-spread and long-term disruption of communication, satellites and electricity. An additional concern is the increasing evidence suggesting that a CME was what might have caused the 8.8 magnitude earthquake that hit Chile in 2010 that was predicted two days before it happened based on data from the surface of the sun.

Lets hope that the new American TV series "Revolution" that premiers on the 17th of September isn't another one of the US government's attempts prepare us for another post-apocalyptic scenario that we're not suppose to know about.

In the meantime, perhaps we should all be taking the whole concept of preparedness 101 far more seriously.
