The U.S. military's top general met with leaders in Afghanistan Monday to discuss the wave of deadly attacks by Afghan soldiers and police against international forces.
Gen. Martin Dempsey's visit came just one day after another American was killed by authorities in Afghanistan.
According to NATO, there have been 32 such attacks so far this year. Ten U.S. soldiers have died at the hands of Afghan security forces in just the last two weeks.
The United States is calling on Afghan President Hamid Karzai to work with the U.S. to find a better way of vetting Afghan recruits.
It was revealed this past Friday that as a precaution, U.S. troops have been ordered to carry loaded weapons at all times in Afghanistan, even when they are on their bases.
