Rabbis Call for Removal of Anti-Semitic Apple App

Ad Feedback The Conference of European Rabbis has asked Apple to pull an app based on a notorious anti-Semitic forgery.
The Arabic-language app, called the "The Protocols," is based on The Protocols of the Elders of Zion and produced by a company called the Innovation Group.
The book alleges a secret Jewish conspiracy for world domination, which has been repeatedly debunked.
"'The Protocols of the Elders of Zion' can and should be available for academics to study in its proper context, [but] to disseminate such hateful invective as a mobile app is dangerous and inexcusable," conference president Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt said in a statement.
The book led to a rash of anti-Semitic attacks in Europe in the early 20th century and was used by the Nazis to justify their genocide of European Jewry.
The rabbis are asking Apple to remove the Arabic-language version of "The Protocols" from iTunes.
In the past, Apple removed two Christian apps after they were targeted by gay activists.
